Da Golden Boyz are an Ironjawz warband operating under the delusion that they are the rightful Stormcast Eternals. Covered in gold paint, armed with repurposed weapons, and carrying fragments of Stormcast armor and iconography, they refer to themselves as Da True Stormgitz. According to their creed, they were “reforged by Gorkamorka’s lightnin’” and await final confirmation by Sigmar himself.
The belief appears to stem from an early encounter with a fallen Stormhost during a lightning storm. What began as looting escalated into imitation, then conviction. Their gold paint is reapplied before each battle in a ritual known as Da Blessin’ of Da Gold Waaagh, which involves glitter, shouting, and one designated brute carrying a pot of paint into combat.
Da Stormlord, the Megaboss, serves as both war leader and spiritual figure. His armor is layered thick with paint and trophies. His missing arm has been replaced with a makeshift prosthetic assembled from sigmarite scraps and scrap metal. He refers to it as Da Arm of Waaagh!-Lightnin’, and claims it proves he has already been reforged.
The warband maintains a crude theology built around Stormcast fragments and orruk instinct. Wings are worn as relics, halos as helmets. They chant from ruined tomes they cannot read and treat random artifacts as sacred, especially anything with lightning motifs. Several brutes are tasked with protecting “Da Gate to Azyr,” a broken door salvaged from an old outpost.
While few take their claims seriously, their behavior has made them difficult to predict. They target sites formerly held by Stormhosts, especially those bearing celestial or relic iconography. Their goals appear to involve symbolic victory and spectacle—leaving behind painted glyphs, shattered stormcast statues, and crude altars in their wake.
They are loud, chaotic, and entirely convinced of their own divinity. In the Sundrown Wilds, that’s often enough.
