Starbelly Gorge

Faction: Destruction (Ogor Mawtribes – Starbelly Sect)

Everything in the doctrine of the Starbelly Gorge begins with a single phrase: “The Sun Ate the Dark.” According to the Book of Ash, in the beginning there was only cold, stillness, and dark. The Sun, a sleeping god of infinite hunger, awoke and devoured the dark in its first act of awareness. Where its mouth passed, there was light; where its belly rumbled, there was heat. The ashes of what it consumed fell through the void and became the substance of the mortal world. From this origin, the Starbellies draw their most sacred truth: everything that burns is an echo of that first feast. The warmth that sustains life was stolen from the god’s belly, and the duty of all living things is to return it. The Starbelly Gorge believe that by feeding on flames, consuming coals, and breathing ash, they rekindle the spark of the Sun within themselves and repay their inherited debt. The faithful teach that when every shadow has been burned and every source of warmth returned to the god, the Sun will be satisfied. To the Starbelly Gorge, to be consumed is to be perfected - to become indistinguishable from the hunger that made the world.
